TRANSCEND RECORDS NEW SIGNING   Posted By Transcend Team on 2009-12-15 16:30:21
Transcend Records are pleased to announce the signing of Tides of Virtue who will be unleashing their album Malevolence on the unsuspecting public in May 2010.

Tides Of Virtue have since their inception in June of 2008 worked relentlessly hard to demonstrate total dedication and passion for their music, live shows and supporters. In their first year as a band they played over 75 shows in the UK and Europe, visited Studio 6 twice and played the reputed Metalfest 3 and Camden Curse Festivals.

Tides Of Virtue deliver a tight and yet ferociously devastating live show with a combination of fast paced aggressive riffs, technically savage drumming, crushing breakdowns, twin guitar harmonies, intricate solos and hellish vocals, Tides Of Virtue will leave new and old audiences permanently scarred by what that have witnessed.

Transcend Records Managing Director, Rob Ferguson had this to say "Aside from being an awesome band some of the qualities I look for in any artist are enthusiasm, passion and dedication - these boys have this by the bucket load. I have no doubt it will be a pleasure to work with Tides and look forward to helping them achieve their goals whilst having a great time along the way."

Tides Of Virtue have already shared the stage with many incredible acts, to name but a few: Shadows Fall (US), Misery Signals (US), Your Demise, The Number Twelve Looks Like You (US), Viatrophy, Sylosis, It Prevails (US), This Is Colour, Azriel, Annotations Of An Autopsy, The Argent Dawn, The Eyes Of A Traitor, Postmortem Promises, Ligeia (US), Evita, Shadow Law, Days Of Betrayal (BEL) and Random Conflict.

The bands enigmatic frontman Carl McCoy said “ The production of the live material has consumed most of our time recently, though it is now in its final production stage so we can now look to the future and concentrate on our new studio material, At this stage I can’t tell you what this will evolve into but we are working towards something new being released in 2010”.

Rise to Remain really came of age at the inaugural Sonisphere festival where they managed raise their own bar laying waste to the Bohemia stage with a double ‘wall of death’ performance!

The bands front man Austin Dickinson said "As a new band, we want to do things our own way, not follow the crowd and to be our own entity instead of trading quality for quantity, so to speak. For the sake of our longevity, its crucial that we get the right people, our own people, behind us. Transcend Records, boasting a stellar roster already, absolutely came through for us and are the ideal label for where we are currently at. We're incredibly happy that Rob and the rest of the Transcend team are working with us, and we absolutely can't wait to unleash hell with them!"

TRANSCEND ANNOUNCE NEW SIGNINGS!   Posted By Transcend Team on 2009-04-01 18:37:30
April 1st 2009 – With immediate effect Transcend Records have announced a clutch of exciting new signings to bolster their already impressive artist roster. New deals have been signed with the following acts: Cinders Fall, Idiom and Warrior Soul.

Transcend’s main man Rob Ferguson said “I am really excited about the prospect of working with these three awesome bands. They represent the continuing development of our Rock and Metal music stable which is brimming with talent and quality product. Our roster reflects our policy of blending legendary established talent with the best of fresh and breaking acts”

Warrior Soul

Iconic frontman Kory Clarke's vision permeates the proceedings: The band he created, Warrior Soul, which started from his spoken word performances on New York City's Lower East Side. From the trippy Doors-influenced debut to some of the punk-oriented and Metal material, Kory is a man on a mission, combining tradition with avant-garde creativity. We have a sneaking suspicion that the best may be yet to come...

Cinders Fall

Its always good to see a British band with so much promise - and Cinders Fall have that in spades. For a young band, they spew forth one hell of a cultivated sound that could easily be confused for In Flames or Dark Tranquillity when they were more metal and less progressive. They really understand what makes a great song, and they know how to use a great riff and garnish it with all the right harmonies and solos...these boys will go a long way.

Idiom

This band is a breath of fresh air for the Metal scene in fact its more like a hurricane! Exeter four-piece Idiom are at the forefront of the welcomed 2009 rock-rap revival. Formed in Devon in 2005, the hard-working collective take influence from bands as diverse and eclectic as Incubus, Rage Against The Machine, SiKth, System Of A Down and Deftones

BELISHA   Posted By Transcend Team on 2008-07-17 16:43:45
Chart Toppers (well almost) Controversial 'art punkers' Belisha have just released there first single through Transcend. 'Who's a clever boy?' has received nationwide press and reviews, and has, at current date, spent 5 weeks in the higher end of the UK chart, reaching number 2 in the official rock chart. Of course, this is just the start of the bands journey, a further 4 minute blast of barmy alt/punk pop is due out from our HQ very soon. Its been a summer of tv theme's, festival appearances, radio interviews and live acoustic sessions, and a 2 week run as featured artist on Myspace has only gone to show that you can sell records, not cheat, and not sell out, and remain the masters of your own destiny. Who ever would tell a band what to do who are likely to shoot, incinerate or bury you alive? As a label, we are pleased to have helped bring quite the maddest, baddest band in Britain into the stores, and as importantly, your homes.
'The Nothing to lose' Belisha tour is staggering round a few select venues in the next few weeks, and can we highly reccomend you go and see them? Urinating clowns, guns, custard pies, flamethrowers, special audio visual owl appearances are just a part of it.
The barking 5 some have spent the winter writing show tunes, film theme scores, and soothing ambient ‘chill out tapes' which, as they only agreed to release on cassette, was of little use to us. So instead we bribed them with various types of cheese, to make another pop/punk winner. We are relieved, no, delighted that this sort of thing comes as second nature to them, and the results are another mouth watering offering that we are delighted to be bringing you in late spring.
